Marketing Intern
Mass Relevance is seeking a smart, ambitious and motivated marketing intern for 2012. The marketing internship role will have an opportunity to play an important part in a broad range of marketing and communication initiatives at a fast paced, early stage startup. You will work directly for the Director of Marketing and work closely with the VP of Sales and Operations and the Creative Director.
Your Responsibilities
- Coordinate the logistics required for successful planning and execution of marketing campaigns and programs.
- Assist with event marketing, planning and speaker pitching.
- Support day-to-day needs of email and web site updates including writing and updating website copy, graphic updates, and landing page testing and development.
- Work with Marketing Director to establish analytics and reporting architecture for marketing efforts.
- Assist on creation of product marketing and communication materials including writing, editing and production.
- Communicate with sales force and support departments as necessary to accomplish objectives.
- Update and maintain marketing campaigns in Salesforce.
About You
- You are a current Senior in college, in graduate school or are a recent college or graduate student.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication and strong analytical skills.
- You work efficiently are dependable and have an entrepreneurial spirit.
- You love social media and stay on top of the latest tools and techniques.
- You are familiar with fresh content ideas that are consistent with the most recent social media trends.
- You can work onsite at least 3 days a week.
- You have working knowledge of Excel, PPT, WordPress, and Twitter.
- You have had previous business/internship experience.
- You have a sense of humor, positive attitude, and passion for business and entrepreneurship.
- Icing on the cake #1 – You’ve worked with Salesforce before.
- Icing on the cake #2 – you have basic technical knowledge to create html-based blog posts or emails.

Director of Business & Channel Development
Mass Relevance is looking for an entrepreneurial leader for our business development and partnership programs, based in New York, San Francisco or Austin.
Our platform helps media and brands master the flow of real-time conversation and integrate a social experience into any owned media, such as TV, web, mobile devices, and even Jumbotrons. Here’s what you need to have to work here:

You must have experience in market development, turning prospects into meetings, and calling and emailing prospects. You will set up meetings for large enterprise deals with your Outside Sales counterparts, as well as close deals on your own. You MUST be comfortable on the phone and making 30+ calls a day in order to achieve target.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent.
- Expert in selling an early-stage product in a new industry (with a proven need) is a plus.
- 2+ years experience in business development and/or sales as a top-10% performer.
- Excellent communications and problem solving skills. Ability to make decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Expert user of current web/online communication technologies, including browsers, search, email, instant messaging, and forums/message boards.
- Highly organized and detail oriented.

Ruby on Rails Engineer
Mass Relevance is looking for a talented Ruby/Rails engineer who’s interested in working on a variety of projects in a dynamic environment, focused on the intersection of social + entertainment/media. Your code will enable major brands to filter through and redisplay social content on their websites, TV and Jumbotrons.
You’re a perfect fit if you:

JavaScript/Front-end Developer

Client Operations Intern
Mass Relevance, a fast growing Austin startup, is looking for a sharp Fall semester intern to help with a variety of client operations, marketing and strategic initiatives. We are a small team doing exciting things in the social curation space for major media, entertainment and product brands. We want a smart, self motivated individual that can help with various tasks including but not limited to (we are a startup and our fast paced nature means things change often):
- New client setup and training
- Stream creation
- Case study creation
- Report generation & data mining
- Twitter research
- Client support
This is a non-paid position for internship credit. However, we are growing and are looking for smart, talented people to join our team (including our interns when they graduate!). We are very flexible on hours so school will not be a problem but we do need a 15 hour/week minimum commitment.
